The internal Narrative

Image
How do we discern the right path from the wrong one? Honestly, it seems that no one can truly know until they’ve traversed that path themselves. It’s only in retrospect, looking back at the trail we've left, that we gain some perspective on whether our journey was right or wrong. Yet, even this hindsight isn't infallible, as our minds often work tirelessly to justify our past actions, regardless of their nature. So, the question arises anew: how do we ascertain the right path? Regardless of our choices, we inevitably find ourselves rationalizing their righteousness. But there’s an aspect that remains more challenging to dismiss: The narrative. The narrative is a critical element, not as easily justified as individual mistakes or events. It shapes our self-perception, our sense of self-worth, and our interactions with the world. If your narrative casts you as the hero, then every action, good or bad, finds its justification. Conversely, if your narrative is that of a loser, even...

Death of our dreams

Our identities are shaped not only by our parents but also by the communities to which we belong. The concept of community holds a profound place in the human psyche. It's been noted that lack of human contact can even lead to dire consequences, akin to physical illness. The need for human connection is so fundamental that it can be equated with a form of ailment. In essence, the bonds we form with our parents and our wider community mold us in a literal sense. However, as with most aspects of life, these connections come with their own baggage, perspectives, and lenses. So, what are these lenses, and how do they influence our lives? Every human experience is filtered through a lens, a perspective that is nearly impossible to escape. Our past experiences and memories shape how we perceive everything around us. It's fascinating how the same situation can elicit vastly different reactions from different individuals. You've likely encountered individuals who seem perpetually d...

Rationality: It doens't come with education

Image
The pursuit of rationality, while challenging, is crucial for a balanced understanding of the world. Rational thinking is not always desirable in every situation, but its importance cannot be understated. In many discussions, particularly those involving personal flaws, rationality often gets sidelined in favor of emotional responses. Contrary to expectations, even a good education does not necessarily cultivate rational thinking, especially in today's digital age. The proliferation of echo chambers online has led to a growing tendency to view the world through an emotional lens. This emotional approach, while valuable in certain aspects of life like appreciating music or expressing love, can be limiting in our perception and understanding of reality. Rationality seeks truth and reality, free from the distortions of emotions. When analyzing critical situations, such as geopolitical conflicts, approaching rationality rather than emotion is more likely to lead to accurate conclusions...

What If...???

What if? The question we are constantly asking ourselves, no matter the situation, time, or place, it still remains pertinent. Do you ever wonder, why this what if ?  Let's put it this way, what is it that makes us human: culture, sex, shelter, food, or is it the exploratory spirit of what if.   It's this journey of what if  that separates humans and animals. The possibility of being able to materialize our very future just by thinking is nothing short of a miracle. Take dogs for instance, they can't actualize their life after a year; they can't do long-term planning to attract more female dogs. But we humans can create reality out of thin imagination, by dedicating our thoughts to a particular action. Think about this for a moment, how magical it is to be able to build and materialize things that only exist in our imagination.  Do you know that this ability to create future simulations and be able to choose the most optimum pathway is directly linked to succes...

Beyond the Surface: Rediscovering Depth in Our Digitally-Distracted World

The Vastness of Human Experience in the Digital Age Do you ever wonder about the vastness of human perception and experience, all the small and big experiences shaping our framework and thus our realities? Creating a lens through which we try to peek into the fascinating nature of reality and human behavior. With the rise of technology, our experiences have increased manifold. Earlier, only a handful of people had any idea about the rest of the world, but now, with better digital connectivity and cheaper flights, everyone can see and appreciate wonderful things across the globe, be it through blogs, vlogs, or actually traveling there. More and more people are traveling to as many places as possible, a trend that was not prevalent until a few decades ago. Earlier, people usually traveled for work, and the idea of exploring different cities and places is relatively new. From the comfort of our couch, we can experience the beautiful landscapes of Switzerland to the charming streets of Par...
