Finding Your Own Space

During my recent visit to India, after a year away, I found myself eagerly anticipating the chance to reconnect with old friends and rediscover my own space. Despite being in regular touch, the experience of sharing physical space again was a unique blend of excitement and apprehension. It quickly became evident how much I've changed since moving abroad over three years ago. Not only I'm quite different from my friends but also from my own previous self. The values I once held dear no longer hold the same appeal, replaced by deeper, more meaningful pursuits. Even though both I and my friends started our journey from the same place, but we are on completely different paths. There is hardly anything in common between the way we lead our lives. This observation isn't meant to pass judgment on anyone but to reflect on personal growth and the divergent paths we all take. I genuinely hope for happiness and fulfillment for all my friends who have taken a different path than me. On...

Archetypes and Meme

Image
It's not an article about the meme you know about. It's a different kind of meme, a concept invented decades ago, even before the presence of the internet. In this article, we are going to talk about something fundamental, stories and values that help us connect across culture and race. Something that literally makes us relate with some of the common experiences that are found across borders and societies. We will also look into the super-important concept of conscience and how it permeates our lives. Let me expand on the problem first, why does our conscience keep telling us things we don't want to do, and if we do something immoral or unjust it keeps pointing toward us. Why it goes against our will and why can't we control it? Why does it object to the things we want, if we truly want those things then logically our thoughts and conscience should help us get there rather than question our own choice of actions. There is a big difference between what we want and what o...

Rama: God or Human, and why he is relevant?

Image
Most people are forgotten within a few years after they pass away. Friends might forget us, and within a generation, even our families might not remember much about us. But some legends last forever. Lord Rama is one of those legends. He's been remembered and honored for over 8000 years. I've been reading parts of the Ramayana for quite some time, and it's full of lessons that are valuable even today. I have never felt more strongly about being anywhere ever than in Ayodhya today. On the special occasion of Lord Ram's ascension to his temple. It's a huge event, I don't know about when Bharat became free from the Brits, but never have I seen more unity than today. It's like we're rediscovering what it means to be Hindu. For those who don't know, in Bharat, a deity is treated like a living person. They have rights, and deities's rights are even legally recognized by our courts. This shows how deeply we respect our gods and our culture that it is pa...

Beauty lies in simplicity

The past two years have been a transformative journey, profoundly reshaping my internal landscape and gifting me with fresh perspectives on myself. Living alongside 20 Europeans, I absorbed diverse life viewpoints, fostering personal growth, meaning, and self-reliance. Unexpectedly, I transitioned from extroversion to introversion — a change I never anticipated but now deeply cherish. This period revealed my true nature: a blend of kindness, emotional depth, wisdom, and unwavering determination. As I turned inwards, I realized that most human sufferings are self-inflicted, rarely does the actual situation bear any significant effect on our well-being, except our twisted desires and expectations. Being able to think is a blessing, I don't have enough words to express my gratitude towards the cosmic god, whatever you want to call it, who gave me this opportunity to learn, live, and find beauty in this world. I humbly accept the greatness of the gods, who imbibed me with the wisdom to...

Love, Sex, Marriage, and Theory of Mate Selection

Before we start, I want to say something important. This isn't a perfect or complete piece of writing, and I know there might be a lot of mistakes in my analysis, so much of which is not apparent to me yet. I'm sharing my thoughts just to put together all the fascinating things I've learned about this topic. Let's learn to hear a bit of uncomfortable and thought-provoking ideas. We must promise ourselves to keep an open mind and think through these ideas together on this wonderful thought journey. Reject and accept ideas presented here according to your taste, and experience. We are here to think deeply and discover bits and pieces of truth. The goal of this writing is to give everyone enough perspectives to think about this topic in a more detailed manner. So, let the journey start.  Human relationships are really interesting. They change and grow in ways we can rarely predict. Our past experiences shape how we form relationships and develop them over time, especially ...
